What is living art?
I have a strong belief that art can have a ’spirit’. I call creations that are infused with this energy ‘living art’. I am happy to share my home with all sorts of these unique spirits - and they most certainly enrich my life.
Almost everyone has art in their home. If you do, have you ever asked yourself why? Why do you buy art, why do you hang it on your walls or keep it on your counters? Most people surround themselves with images, colors, textures, and objects that speak to them on a level beyond conscious understanding. If you like green, why do you like green? How does it make you feel?
When people make anything, the creation process takes energy; physical and mental energy, creative energy. Creating art is like creating life. There is always magic to it; there are technical ways to do things, of course, but there is always suspense, surprise, and at least a bit of unpredictability. In this process of creating something tangible from raw materials and ideas, I believe art can be infused with this energy, and in a way, given ‘life’.
Here I want to share a few of the unique spirits that share my home.
