Did you know there are about 17 species of penguins (possibly more - it is unclear whether some disputed species are subspecies of others or their own group) - and not all penguins live in the frigid cold of the Antarctic! Some live in more tropical waters, even up near the equator. In this diverse group, there was also a prehistoric penguin as big and heavy as a man, though the Emperor penguin is today's largest, topping in up to 75 lbs.
