A wolf, rambling through a field of oats, meets a horse. â€œLook,â€ says the wolf, â€œHere is a fine field of oats, which I have saved just for you. I shall greatly enjoy the thought of such a fine friend enjoying such a fine feast.â€ The horse replied, â€œIf wolves could eat oats, my fine friend, you would not have indulged your mind at the cost of your belly.â€
There is no virtue in giving away what is useless to oneself.
