Primal Vegetarian Gravy
This primal vegetarian gravy is so delicious you just have to try it! It is a fantastic sauce for chicken, vegetables, egg-foo-young, or anything else you’d want a gravy for! If you’ve never tried nutritional yeast before, give it a go – it’s fantastic.This recipe is based off the famous Golden Bowl from the Grit, given a primal spin.
Ingredients
1 stick unsalted butter
1/3 cup coconut flour or almond meal
1/3 cup nutritional yeast
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/4 cup tamari wheat-free soy sauce
1/2 cup warm water
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
Directions
1. Melt butter in small saucepan
2. Stir in coconut flour and nutritional yeast. Whisk constantly for 30 seconds to a minute.
3. Whisk in almond milk, soy sauce, water, and worcestershire sauce. Mix slowly and heat through.
4. Sauce will thicken as it sits, removed from heat.
